Terroir
The Candialle at the southernmost tip of the Conca d'Oro benefits from the
valley's micro climate and natural wide spaces which create a perfect
environment for wine cultivation. -

The 330m high hills, on which the grapes are cultivated, offer perfect growing
conditions especially for the Sangiovese, a grape harvested late in the season
and native to this area. The soil has high content of Galestro - a marl-like soil -
and a small amount of Albarese limestone, a combination characteristic of
many of the best wine growing areas in the Chianti Classico.

Candialle puts a high priority on environmentally friendly cultivation methods.
Taking a holistic approach, the vineyard is viewed as an "Agroecosytem". Ideal
environmental conditions, strictly controlled yields and careful soil treatment are
essential factors in ensuring the uniqueness of Candialle wines.
